Default Saying goodbye and hello. My journey from 996 C2 >> 2010 997 C4S in Carrara White

I'm a long time viewer but rare poster. I've been on this board since 2005 when I got my 996 and am grateful for the community and support from an awesome group of passionate enthusiasts. Thank you.

So after putting almost 100k miles on my 2003 996 C2 across 8 satisfying years, I finally traded her for a 2010 C4S. It was a bittersweet day, saying goodbye and hello (see photo of both below.)

Let me know if you have any questions. I want to be as helpful as possible, as the community has been very helpful to me over the years.

Your 996 still looks pristine. New ride is stunning, especially with the BBS rims and black stone guards. Congrats and enjoy in good health!

Your car looks really sharp. I also own a 2010C4S cab that I picked up in January and am very happy with my purchase. You forgot to note on your mods that you changed your side markers.

I have a 2010 C4S as well and it's the nicest car I've ever owned!

Yours is exceptionally beautiful....just lovely. Enjoy her every day. I'm thrilled every time I get behind the wheel not only by her capabilities but by her aesthetics. To me these are breathtakingly beautiful automobiles that make driving an exciting experience even for 2 blocks.

No possible way to put a value on all those jolts of pleasure many times a day.....enjoy!

The 4S, in my view, is "the best of the best"

Good Luck!

Tom

Both nice looking examples.

Congrats on the '10. Is there any suspension tweaks on that ride? Appears a bit lower than stock, and looks damn good.

Nice C4S. I traded in a twin of your 996 last month for a 997 C2S. Much happier with it as I bet you are as well.

so nice, both cars! congrats. wondering how many miles your 996 has now, any issues you had & how they compare driving-wise, and if you miss anything about the 996?
