I like doing preventative maintenance. Any tips or procedures for lubricating/cleaning the sunroof mechanism?

The gel-like Porsche lube, or anything like it, is a magnet for dust and grit.
I stripped all of it out of my Targa roof mechanism.
Use QTips and some alcohol. It's a bit of a pain the first time but not bad.
Cover your seats if you've got leather.
The two products I used to re-lube all the gear were McLube Bearing Oil (used very sparingly) and McLube Sailkote spray on most components.
If you search this forum on Targa Roof Squeaks or something similar, you'll find the complete write-up. Just adapt it for the sunroof.
Good luck. It's a little tedious but not difficult.
