They handle about as well as you can expect for a snow tire in dry conditions - very much like an all season tire will. Snow traction rates pretty darn good among survey results also. Expect wear to be about 3 good seasons under average driving.
I got exact same setup, BUT using 18" narrow body OEM wheels. 235/265 works great, it looks a bit tiny, but it's winter, who cares!

Curious if anyone has used the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 yet on any of their vehicles?

I do not believe that this tire is available for the 997.2 C4S but it may be interesting if/when it can be fitted. I wish that it was available now because this tire seems made for my use.

I am going into 3rd winter in a row on a same set of z1 star specs.
as I never drive over deep snow anyway it seems to handle low temperatures just fine and never turns into glass like Michelins.

All so I've followed this thread which has been helpful on sizes and tire preferences. I do see some nice new packages out there and Michelins look to be favorite tire.

I have a 2010 C4S and have an opportunity to buy this winter tire and wheel set up from a fellow, local RM PCA guy. These are the 5 spoke wheels.

Just want to make sure from this group that these tires and wheels will fit

Front:
8J x 18 H2 – ET57, 997.362.136.00
Nokian WR, 235/40 R 18, tread ~6/32

Rear:
11J x 18 H2 – ET51, 997.362.143.00
Nokian WR, 295/35 R 18, tread ~5/32

Thanks!

Default Dilemma solved

All set - ended up with the Michelin Pilot Alpins 235/40/18 fronts and 265/40/18 rears with black Andros Spec P rims courtesy of Damon at Tire Rack. About $2180 plus shipping with TPMS installed all around.

Why so bad? I am reluctant to buy new P's...
I agree, I really disliked my Pirellis. I will never buy another. Some folks here like them, but I found them to be awful snow tires. And they sing opera loudly as they wore. I just purchased the Alpins as they were the only other snow that fits this year.

My fave snows for Porsche were Dunlops and they were Porsche recommended many years ago. I also had Blizzaks and they were great in the snow, lasted forever, but the sidewall would roll over. They were the opposite of performance.

Peace
