Default Has anybody used ate sl.6

Looks like a new trend in brake fluid. Low viscosity, for better use of electronic systems like abs and esp etc. has anybody actually used this yet. Thinking of using for 997.2

I'd not heard of it until you posted this. Seems to make sense but is it approved by Porsche? Does it need to be approved by Porsche?

I tend not to be an early adopter on something as critical as brake fluid.

Guess i might be the g pig for this one. But it does make sense to use rather than typ 200 for a mainly street driven car.

Are you still under warranty?

Prospeed683 is awesome...better on seals, wont over heat at the track. Indy, ALMS, NASCAR use it..it's been tested and works. I have been using it since September 2011.

Now prospeed is even more an extreme racing brake fluid. Im sure mike makes full use of its capacity due to racing. But more concerned with everyday driving and supposedly the safety that low viscosity fluidmgive to modern cars with electric systems which includes our porsches with abs and traction control systems.
I will be on my forth year jh and warranty expires then plus i need to replace my fluid soon hence the interest in the sl.6

Prospeed, Motul660, Endless...all top brake fluids and work for street driving plus all are DOT approved fluids. For street driving none of these are needed so don't go through the trouble.

Real concern mike is, will low viscosity bf work better on our cars. I dont want to go to the more expensive racing fluids that i doubt one needs on the street.
