N rated tires will be more money. OEM tires are "N" rated I believe for my 09 C2S.
Wonder what the difference in price is between the MPSS and the MPSS "N" Rated tires ?

N rated tires are standard on 09. The n rated tires mean those are specifically designed with porsche and for porsche. I am not certian how much different they are than non n rated. I do not believe much at all. I would happily buy non N rated tire to save a little and I would not feel that I was "skimping" on performance. 1200 sounds like non n rated tires.

My '09 C4S is a little over 95k miles. The only "repairs" that have been done are:
So, my experience is that is has been a very reliable car. I try and compare that to other cars that I've put ~100k miles on and it's really been the best. It is leagues better than our Sienna (minivan - dogmobile) had been, for example.

Water pump at about 24k miles, under warranty (started chirping and slight leak),
Side marker light that went intermittent about 30k miles,
High pressure fuel pump at about 58k miles, replace for "free" based on the service bulletin,
Replaced the battery at about 60k miles,
At it's 90k service, I replaced the front brakes.
I'm still on my original clutch and I've replaced the tires 3x (I run Pilot Super Sports). The only reason I've made 95k miles with only 3 changes is it does spend 2.5 months a year with snows on it. So, I've been getting 20-25k miles on each set of tires (the current PSSs have a lot of life left on them). It does get autocrossed regularly - it's not a garage queen Side marker light that went intermittent about 30k miles,

Scott, it may be you, but I recall someone one RL buying an 09 with like 80k or more miles last year for a very low price around 30k(?) and I would like to know their experience as well.
Nice to see the PDK's seem to be pretty stout.

Scott: That is awesome. At 95K and very reliable!
At 34K, I just had the software for the PDK updated. The factory warranty will expire in early 2014 and I have been bringing it in for sorts of things that aren't typically covered under CPO: Squeaks, dead battery, console peeling, etc. All covered without any hassles.

My 2009 is a DD and I've only had regular maintenance needed: tires, spark plugs, filters, front and rear brakes, new battery, belt, and oil changes.
I now have 61,000 miles on my car. It has been very reliable

My 2009 only has 22K miles. Haven't spent for anything except routing maintenance, the same 2 items you mention (covered by warranty) and one set of tires.

09 with 19000 miles and had to replace HPFP (2X) and that always seem to come while on a road trip.
Fuel injector went out and caused a big misfiring. Clutch switch went out (2X).
All under warranty of course. Currently have a broken bracket for the exhaust and need to find out if it is covered under warranty. It may be quicker to go to a muffler shop and have it welded for $25. Looks like a 5 minute job to fix.

This thread hasn't had any updates in a long time but I'll throw in the work that was performed on a 09 with 6,500 miles immediately before I purchased (just purchased so its 6 years old).
$6k total bill included tires (dealer said dry rot although car was garaged day & night). Water pump was leaking per dealer and was replaced. The serpentine belt's hydraulic pulley was also leaking. Bunch of smaller items which were just maintenance including alignment, brake fluid, spark plugs (Porsche is the only OE that I know of that recommends plug replacement based on time as well as mileage), expired fix-a-flat, wipers, etc.
So repair wise just the water pump and hydraulic pulley.
I noted one other low mileage water pump replacement above. I know the water pumps were not great on the 996's. Hopefully these on the 997's are better.

Definitely the low miles is the culprit. These cars need to be driven.
