Default 997.1 PSE too loud

many people said the PSE gets the nicest sound you could get from a 997.
I get a set of PSE mufflers and I tried them for 3 weeks and I still think that the normal Porsche exhaust sounds better. I could still hear the engine sound and not just the mufflers.
If anyone wants them, they are available.

Are they offered for sale? What is the price?

depending on price, you should find several interested parties. since you got the PSE, you do have the best of both worlds right now. you don't see yourself even wanting to switch to sport mode at all from time to time?

Only when you're standing on the loud pedal! I've got pse and fab speed 200 cats and evoms intake and it sounds fantastic on the track. Good comments from people outside the car as well.

Kiwi - would be awesome if you could post a sound clip of your set up - startup with a rev or 2....

Why don't you just turn the PSE button to off?

exhaust sound is so subjective. i'm still working on my combinations. as of this weekend, it will be X51 headers, fab 200 cells and tubis. my fear is it will still be too quiet. my next step would be a gundo-type hack on an aftermarket sets of cans. not sure i'd cut up the tubis, but i might try it on a set of AWEs. my gundos and cargraphics were too quiet and my afterhours were too bassy and had too much resonance in the cabin between 2-3k rpms. from 4k and up they sounded insane - insanely good. personally, i can't imagine PSE being too loud, especially w/o cats, but we're each looking for something different.

This is similar to announcing that your 997 is too fast and handles too well.

The vast majority of 997 owners that do not have PSE, would much prefer to have it.

It's like silent choice on a boat. If there are times when it is too loud, simply turn it off. Another outstanding feature of PSE.

I personally disconnected mine so it stays on constantly and does not turn off automatically at higher revs.

This is my second 4s since someone asked the question.
I don't have the switch to close the PSE valves.

I like the sound of the car inside with the regular exhaust. but with the PSE, there is just noise. Yes, the outside sound is great and if I was outside the car while driving it, I would probably love it too

Thanks everyone for the input.
