Installed the red belts yesterday following this DIY to the T. Everything worked out perfect. Thanks again to USMC_DS1 for putting together this awesome DIY. I probably wouldn't had the confidence to tackle this project by myself. To complete the project, I also deleted the rear seats and seat belts since I don't have a matching rear seat belts. I have also reduced the weight of my car by 20lbs by removing the rear seats.

Here some pictures of the finished product.

Nice DIY write-up. I'm going to attempt on a 2015 TTS Cab.

Thanks. What color are you going with? Would be great to see pics of deviate belts inside a TT.

Bring it back from the deeps of the forum

I installed them yesterday, and got the PSM failure, which disappear in less than 30 second. I turn on sport mode, suspension on soft mode and turned off the traction control, suddenly got the psm failure again and sport mode where disconnected by the CPU. The trip lasted 15 min and the PSM failure was on all the time.

Any thoughts?

back to normal. it seems that the denison unit plus me touching the buttons at the same time was to much for the car's cpu

Thanks OP. Read this three times before tackling. Amazingly, it wasn't until I was halfway through the actual swap that I realized there was no DIY for the rear. LOL. Luckily I was fully confident after I had gotten that far. I'm actually glad I didn't realize this sooner as I may not have attempted on my own. Many thanks.

Default Seat belt removal instructions

For my 997.1....Outstanding instructions....cant thank you enough for the step by step and pics. I started the process on drivers side at 2:30pm and its 3:10 now and it is out. Each step as described was perfect. Now sending my belt to a place in Wichita KS that advertises $59.00 to rebuild it so it retracts like new. I only have the cost of shipping plus $59.00 and they ship it back at their expense. Turn around, 24 hours from the time they receive it. This is the place if you want to try them out and I'll report back once I get it back and reinstalled. modular-pro

Nice write up. But for you new-to-911 guys, the TRUNK on a 911 is a TRUNK. Not a FRUNK. Otherwise, for a Panamera would it be a RRUNK? Of course not.

When you say TRUNK, we really do know what you're talking about! :-)
