What do you mean by unlock the electrical plug? Do you mean how do you get the electrical connection disconnected from the tensioner? If so, the connection has a small slide on the top that I recall you pull up and that is the locking mechanism. Once that slide is up then you can pull the plug free. I think its an orange tab based on what I recall and see in the photos above.

Has anyone done a write-up like this for a cab? I would want to do front and rear. Wait, never mind. $1400 for the four belts! Is there another source?

Thanks, I figured that but it was a bit firm on releasing but I gave it a go anyway.
actually that picture helps but I didnt need a screw driver. That tab can be pulled forward which unlocks it and then it pulls up or out after that, easily.
Guys, did you notice that you may have installed your seatbelts "backwards"? What I mean is the black tag near the bottom of the belt is facing down when the seat belt is buckled in.
I only bring this up as it's something I've just noticed recently. According to the window sticker, this Green RS has factory installed yellow belts. Look which way the tag is facing.
Considering swapping out my black belts for red, however, a question. I have a two-car garage, and would move the GTS to the center of the garage to do the work. Once I disconnect my battery and remove the belts/retractors, can I reconnect the battery to start the car to move it back into its place to allow the second car back in?

Good find -- I've installed my deviated belts both ways (had to remove them at some point for something..don't remember why) and do not think it really matters other than personal preference. From an aesthetics point of view isn't it better to install so the tag faces inwards so they are not seen when the belts are used?
