Has anyone heard of a bishman car lift? A local auction in my area has one on the block....I did a quick google search, but did not find much. TIA

Never heard of Bishman, but I am not in that business. It does look like it has seen its fair share of work. If it were cheap enough. Give it one thing it looks reliable.

Most likely you will not be able to lift a 911 with it.

A friend of mine has a similar one (made by Bosch) and you cannot fold the arms between the wheels, when the car is in the middle. The arms are basically too long for the wheelbase of the 997 models.

You can always find different arms for it.

I picked up a two post lift from a performance shop that was moving from Chicago to LA for $800. I had to cut 6" off the top to make it fit in my garage with 10' ceilings, but it fits like a glove and lifts most cars high enough for me to stand underneath them (I'm 5'8).

Is the lift in the picture partially disassembled or something? The arms shouldn't be facing that way.
