Went on a quick overnight trip to Yosemite to catch one of the last days for firefall. Wasn't expecting any snowfall but ran my winter tire setup just in case since nighttime/morning temps were in the high 20s. Was the first car camping trip in a while. Not used to such a short walk to camp!

Hi Matt, Heizl was a 1 owner toaster I found in Connecticut a while back. Short wheel base R75/5 , a joy to ride on the backroads of New England. I have always been a BMW fan, mostly 2 wheels

Hank- I’m in Ohio and have a Guards Red ‘06 Carrera S and an ‘85 Burgundy BMW R80 parked right beside it. I immediately notice that two wheeler in the background! Great fun to be had in Ohio, too!

I was finally was able to get my cars back in the garage after a month of construction - the garage was a mess and packed with materials for finishing out our lower level. We also had a nice day so I gave the car a quick wash.

Saw it for sale and had to have it, great story too. Bought it off the son of the lady who bought it new. She had passed away a few months prior and he had no room. This was the last time she sat on the bike, he had to hoist her up on the saddle. I still have the Wixom bags & fairing. I also ride an 81 R100RT & 82 R100RS, both with original fairings, so I thought the /5 could go without. Besides, I couldn't keep the headlight/speedo covered up!

That's for sure. Caught the German bug back in Lexington at Mid-Ohio in the late 70's.BTW, my 1st Porsche was an 83 Guards Red 83SC Targa. Always one of my favorite colors The 1973 toaster is it's original Granada Red.

But where you're now located, AWD is unnecessary and you've got the perfect 911 so be satisfied! I have no plans to be in SoCal and if/when I do, it would be via air, but we are getting homesick for NorCal and I've been having re-occurring dreams of being with the gang properly enjoying CA120 in the Eastern CA or over the Sierra passes...so hopefully a road trip is in my future...
