Fresh off of front bumper respray, full paint correction, ceramic coat and new PPF placement.
That looks awesome. I like the stripe! Did you do your own paint correction? I'm looking around at getting it done for my porker, prices around $600-700...
Thanks for the kind words you guys. I had the correction and coating professionally done- that’s obviously a cab so prices will b different for a coupe but I think the correction was about $700 and the coating another $800 or so. The car is 12 yrs old so I figure it was due
Well as far as I understand it, it involves a series of buffing and clay blocking to remove small scratches, any leftover waxy haze, and some orange peel changes to the paint- maybe then followed by a ceramic coat or at least a good wax detail for a uniform finish. You need to find a high end detail shop to do it as there is certainly an art to applying ceramic coating and of course to safely taking a rotary tool to your finish.
There's a guy local here that said he does the whole nine yard with the paint correction and ceramic coating and wants $800 total. I thought that was rather high. I'd do it if the price was around $600.
That doesn’t sound high to me- that’s a lot of labor. But I’d ask him for some past customers to contact to see how they felt about the work. That ceramic coating material is expensive in and of itself.

That's not high if he does good work. Whats his portfolio look like?
