The black seal around my sunroof shows white residue from wax on it..... not sure what the seal is, any suggestions for how to get it looking black again ?

when you apply wax, stay a good inch away from the rubber seals. when removing the wax you can get a little closer. I usually scratch the white wax off the rubber with my thumbnail. just keep away from seals when waxing and you'll be okay.

now iff you put a lot of wax into the fabric seal on your sunroof, you probably have quite a mess on your hands. I'd say op[en up the sunroof and wipe off as much as you can with a warm damp cloth. being careful not to rub too hard

Would a black detailer spray work? Something like Turtle Wax or equivalent.

Before you use the spray--I took at old toothbrush and brushed the visible part of the seal. It removed most of the wax which had built up over time.
If you are going to try the spray I would suggest that you spray it on the toothbrush and then attack the wax--with the toothbrush.

Try washing it with dawn dish soap and rub lightly. May have to reapply some wax on the paint after you get it out of the seal.
