Haven't thought too much about a clear bra yet, although it might be a good idea since my car is a DD.

Nicely done. I might have to do this as well with my dealer-mangled front end. Grrrrrr ...

Right choice. 4 plugs would have looked worse than leaving the bracket on. Who gives a flying f%$# about what a paint meter says or doesn't. You got rid of those unsightly holes. Period.

Looks like they did an awesome job !! I've always hated the front license plate.

That's why you keep a before pic and a copy of the invoice. A bumper cover spray wouldn't concern me in the least with supporting evidence.

I agree. The bumper cover re-spray is common on a pre-owned 911 due to road rash. No value hit at all. Also if you take a picture of what you were fixing to prove no damage then no issue. I have the 2 bumper plugs in mine and I hate them. The bumper looks so much better smooth and clean. May do this in the future. Nice job on yours!!!!

+1

I've got the same issue, but I'm not letting it bother me (too much). Natch my bumper also has some minor road rash on it as well, so doing this in the future is an attractive idea.

I have heard good things about Paragon, so it's nice to hear that they are still doing good work. The last body damage repair (BMW) I had done was at Automotive Collision Specialists. But it appears that they have closed their Cary location, now open only in F-Q.

Since you have the before and after pics I would think a buyer would thank you. Why exactly do they drill four holes? I ask because I have the four holes but not the front bracket so I do not know how it mounts. Currently, I am waiting until a TX lawman writes me a ticket forcing me to install the front plate. I am leaning towards the Porsche holder since the holes are already there. I did purchase the tow hook frame but I don't like that look either.

You fixed your bumper the right way. If selling the car and someone goes ohhhhhh, you've sprayed the front bumper tell them to walk. Now. They're not a driver and don't deserve the car. They're not "purists" they're "poseurs". Maybe harsh but want to sell to people who appreciate driving the way it should be. Yes I don't want a wrecked car, but if they judge by paint meter on stuff like yours then screw em.

It's a used car. I'm more interested in you showing me it's been driven properly, not babied, well maintained, and minimized wear, e.g. got in/out of seats to not wear bolsters.

I live in dfw and had multiple cars without front license plate. Never an issue. Dear god please don't jinx me. I'm on super secret probation until 09 August and can't get a ticket or I'm toast. But like you prefer no front plate regardless of how mounted.

Yes! Just had my car done at Detailed Designs Auto Spa in Conyers. Maybe you saw today's post already:

They did a FANTASTIC job! Couldn't be happier!

If you were instead asking about the bumper fix for the holes, I shopped around and ended up at Jim Ellis Collision, believe it or not. Had previous work done there that was immaculate. Highly recommended. Ask for David Bissette. He'll take care of you.

Last week I got a ticket for no front plate in the people's republic of san francisco. Some over-zealous meter maid got me in Cole Valley

$121!

I promptly paid online rather than drill holes in my bumper and mount a plate

Tow hook license plate mount is your friend for those pesky fix-a-tickets.
