During the years following 9-11 my office was in manhattan and they did (still do) bomb checks on every car coming into the parking garage. Of course it was probably an untrained person but at least thier heart was in the right place. They'd walk around the car with the mirror on a stick to see the bottom of the car and then about 1/2 the time they'd say "pop the trunk" while standing behind the car. I'd pop the frunk and watch the confusion ensue.
