I don't mean to cynical but just how many new threads have been posted on this topic. I know new owners get a 'thrill' doing this mod but in all honesty enough is enough. It's got to be the most common 'enhancement' done by 997 owners. Clear markers look exactly the same on all of them (maybe the paint color makes some look better). I probably posted a thread many years ago when I installed mine.

Jeez . . You're putting my 'Goodbye' postings in the same category as the 'clear marker' mods. Sorry if it bored you but I just wanted to share w/ my Porsche brothers the departure of my 997S.

It is one of the easiest and best mods to bring the car back to a European look. Many decades ago the rage within the Porsche 911 world was to install the amber rear turn signals on their cars--this is apparently the substitute. (Far cheaper, too).

Looks great! I installed mine last week. I like how Porsche gives you a credit card thingy in your owners manual to remove markers. I may need to do the fronts now.
