Could be a coin toss for me.....but I am leaning towards no white, a bit too stark...but perhaps a contrasting colour is in order just not so much.

For example i have natural red leather but the console is Basalt like my exterior.

Blue leather seems to be a good option too, but those things are damn expensive!

What's up with covering up the seats? Keeping them nice for the next owner?

A few things with covering the seats...one of course is protection, two it gets really hot here and the towel actually prevents getting the seats too hot when i sit down after the car has been parked under the sun. Will be keeping this car, i think, so keeping it for me.

leave it white

take the towels off the seats

you can't "paint" sea blue... it will look odd and not match because the blue in your car is soft touch coating, not paint..

I like white too. But if you are set for a lower tone interior, it has to be leather. I am sure that if you take it to a custom upholstery shop, it wouldnt be too expensive to make. I would definitely not buy as a new part!
Perhaps a vinyl wrap first to protect the paint if you want to go back, then upholster with sea blue leather...
