Default Tail of the Dragon Pictures

Thought I would share some pictures of my recent trip to the tail of the dragon and surrounding areas. I'm happy to report that the roads were almost empty this time of year, especially if you get an early start. http://imgur.com/a/hzQW6

Who shoot the photos for you, one of the Dragon photographers?

All of the in motion pictures were taken by us129photos.com, sadly killboy didn't get any good shots of my car.

How many miles long is the actual Tail of the Dragoin route? Were the road conditions good? I live in Atlanta and have been contemplating making the drive myself one day. Proably make it a two day event. Thank you for sharing the pics.

It's definitely worth the trip, the dragon itself is only 11 miles long with 318 curves, but there are many other roads and activities in the area. Just do your research before you go. If you go I recommend staying in the Tapoco Lodge, best meals in the area are included with your room.

Yep. Like US 28 from Lauada all the way south to Franklin.

Brings back memories; a couple of years ago we got a dozen Porsches together right after a Road Atlanta weekend about 10 or so Gt3's with loud exhausts. We covered about 300/400 miles that day, it was fantastic fun.
