new for me (2008) p-car in brooklyn
Hi everyone,
I live in Brooklyn, NY. I just purchased a 2008 911 cabrio with only 11,600 miles. The last service that was done was the recommended 4 year service which was performed by a dealer in January 2012. Since the service, it was only driven for about 1000 miles. When I took the car in for a PPI, the dealer recommended a service to be performed, which includes oil, filter and top-off fluids for $480 plus tax. I think that price is absurd for what they are offering.
I was wondering if any of you guys take your p-cars to local shops for routine maintenance like oil, filter and top-off fluids? Can anyone recommend a decent shop for this service in the Brooklyn, NY area. The shop should also be able to turn off the “service now” message as well.
Also, I’m planning on installing a clear bra and possibly Dension BT device. Any recommendations?
