The two most important factors for me in selecting a 3rd party policy is that it has to cover "wear and tear" and "seals and gaskets" with minimal exclusions. I got the COSTCO 6/60 coverage (add on) for $5,300. My 2010 C2S had 34K mi but now is covered until 2019. Sounds expensive but the policy covers TPMS (guaranteed to go out b 4 policy ends). This is a $1,300 item at my dealership.
I have a friend that use to work for COSTCO and he said for insurance matters they really do vet the insurance companies and will stand behind its members.
Mercury no longer covers TPMS.
Fidelity Platinum had too many CYA verbiage.
EasyCare was too expensive.

Recently paid 3,250 for a 4-year, 50,000 mile policy issued by Lexus/Toyota. Don't laugh yet. I bought this from a Jaguar/Maserati dealership that sells this policy as well as Fidelity so I compared the two. The sales guy was right. The Toyota backed policy is nearly identical to Fidelity's platinum plan except there's zero deductible with Toyota vs. $100 with Fidelity. I also asked the service manager at my dealership if he had dealt with any Toyota backed claims. He had and he said they were easy and painless. More so than Fidelity according to him. Haven't used it yet so I can't confirm or deny his claims.

I ended up getting a Fidelity Platinum policy from my servicing dealer. My car was still in the original manufacturer's warranty and had less than 10K miles. I paid just over $3K for an additional 7 years and 70K miles ( I do not need the miles as mine in a weekend driver). To get 100K mile with the same number of years, I think it might have been about $1.5K more.
The service dept at that dealer indicated that Fidelity was easy to deal with.

Do not hesitate to price shop the policy. As said in earlier posts, Fidelity does not care if you buy it at a Porsche store or a Hyundai dealership. Call Fidelity Customer Service and ask them for the names of 5 or more dealerships that are agents for their policies.

I was in the same situation with my 2008 C2S having less than 10K miles. Picked up the Fidelity Platinum 7 year/ 70K additional miles with $100 deductible from my local Honda dealer for............$2300 (including sales tax). I price shopped that policy with 5 different dealers and price ranged from almost $4K to a low of $2300. I am now into year 2 of the policy so I do not know if premiums have gone up.

Is this the Costco "Premium Care" plan?
Where can I find in the contract that TPMS is covered?
Thanks

Costco
In fact, I was shocked to see how straight forward the policy language read compared to, for example, the Fidelity Platinum policy and others. Obviously, Costco had a hand in negotiating the policy on behalf of its members.
Email from Costco dated March 26, 2013:
Good afternoon Mr. _____.
Yes, the TPMS is covered through the protection plan. You are correct, if it isn’t listed as an exclusion it is a covered component. Thank you,

1- Fidelity prices are recommended by Fidelity but ultimately set by the dealer- except in FL.
2- Costco sells a Fidelity underwritten plan
3- Fidelity administers many of the manufacture programs from the factory.
4- Feel free to PM with questions about various warranty companies as I have been selling a variety of different brands for years
