I stopped using Rain-X a few years ago - I found that when I did need the wipers, they began to chatter and the windshield began to develop marks where the wipers were hanging up. Anyone else have this problem?

Never in my use of Rain-X since the early 90', are the blades old? Was the Rain-X well polished off? I actually find a fresh application of Rain-X to lubricate the windshield such that the runner wiper blades glide smoother and quieter over the glass surface.

Interesting. Blades newish (this chattering has occurred on both my Porsche and my wife's Audi) and Rain-X polished off the windshield x 2. No one else has had this happen to them?

My wipers are very smooth with rain-x. In the past, I've had chatter on the company car if I let the wax build up on the windshield from auto car washes.

For you fans of Rain-X, try the Aquapel treatment next time. It works on the same principal as Rain-X but lasts MUCH longer. Developed by 3M. I have used it and it really does last a lot longer.
