Default Alarm bell/chime?

I’m a new owner of a ’07 Carerra S and when I hit 80-85MPH a bell or chime sounds one time. Haven’t been able to see any warnings. The speed alarm is set to inactive. Any ideas what this warning could be?

Thanks!

You may have the speed alarm inactive on your dash, however there are three speeds you can enable on your PCM screen to emit a soft bell or tone when you exceed those speeds. It should also display "Exceeded speed" or something to that nature on the screen. I don't recall which menu this is under, but look through and you should find it. Not sure if this is your issue but have a look.

I didn’t know there is a speed control on the dash -- where is it? The speed limit function is selected to “inactive” (hollow box) on my PCM screen, yet I still get a chime. Does the automatic spoiler activation trigger a chime?

Here's what I was referring to... See pages 49-51

Hit the TRIP button and go into Limits settings.

Great, that was it!! The previous owner had Trip 1 set at 80 MPH. They are now all deactivated.
