Hi:

I gotta be honest, I really dislike this Drive Off Assistant thing. 2009 C2S coupe manual transmission. The biggest issue is that it sticks a little and is really annoying. The other reason is that I am insulted after driving sticks for 25 years...... So:

1 - Does your Drive Off Assistant stick a little bit? I am being very picky here but it does not release smoothly.
2 - How does it work?
3 - Can I turn this off?

If you release the brake just before you depress the clutch & shift into 1st gear, it will not engage.

Bruce...I have the same model year C2S coupe and yes mine does stick ever so slightly right before launch. When I first bought the car last September I actually had a few stalls before I got the hang of the amount of throttle needed until the car would engage smoothly. Regarding this feature, regardless of the years you have behind the stick, I'm sure the guys in San Francisco can appreciate this feature more than us guys in Atlanta.
