Get the new Boxster instead! Even Chris Harris likes it more than 991!

Anyway it looks like a GTS is incoming. Right now it was just really hard to find a 991 S with the desired spec and a nice GTS popped up. I'll post some pic's when it arrives.

I have a GTS and like the car. CLs are a bit of a PIA to deal with. I've driven a couple of 991s and it is a very nice car. I think both of you will be happy with the GTS.

For GF? Is so, why not Boxster? Open roof, just as fun, the new one is actually quite fast and to me, a much bigger upgrade over last gen than 991 is over 997!
If it has to be 911, I honestly just go with base 991, GTS is definitely my choice if it was for you, you wanted manual, and like the more raw feel. 991 is definitely more of a GT, and GF car!

Almost 81k. I thought last time I built one it was about 88k…
A 120k GTS now in the mid 80’s, 35k hit of depreciation already taken, will move down slowly from here. But this money scenario isn’t the main factor, the GTS is just much more car for the money and that is what she wants anyway.![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Why not buy her "the" rock? with a 90K gift, sounds like the next (or pre) step?

I think that was only 17k in options and still no 3.8. But that is why it is a much better choice to go to the 911...

What car do you have? I think you should take that to consideration... for instance, if I had a 2-door 911, I pick a Boxster cab for GF to have a different experience, if I had a cab, I'd go with 911, and so on...

For those leaning towards a 997 GTS (and even those you aren't, YET), my brother's is for sale:

Sexist pig... (so says my GF - not me
)
Sexist pig... (my GF is about to go nuclear)
GF says Alexb's GF probably should look for a "different experience" about now.
But seriously - GFs set aside - WTF all this Boxster = "girl car" bull****? Have we not grown past that?
Boxster is the better sports car vs 911. Period. Can we not drop the "girly' stuff?
GT and image are the only reasons to sign up for a 911 vs a Boxster. Half the price or so? Gimme a break.
