I agree. Mines always on (when my lights are on)...no distraction at all.

I've played with the screen settings but have not seen that option for the "footer" - I'll futz with it some more.

I mostly drive with it blacked out

Do you not see the tpc option at all on the computer/speedo screen? It won't display P unless you're at a standstill.

Oopsie on my part, I was thinking wart while you were talking PCM. Yes, I know about the PCM display but wish the wart could be programmed to display time of day.

I actually asked this a long time ago if the wart could display time. The new 991 actually has this feature, wart displaying time. I tried to go to dealer they could not do it. If only we could get the programming procedure to do on piwis to have that thing as a clock that would be a great mod!

Agree that having the time display on the wart would be a great feature. For now it's pretty much useless to me. One day I had nothing better to do and I played with the chronometer until I got it to stop exactly at 9:11. Now it just sits there displaying 9:11 (backlit!). I refuse to acknowledge how many tries it took me to get there.

A clock is in the PCM display but since the radio has been changed out, I'm sure the Kenwood has the ability to show the time in its screen.

Not on my 2011 997.2 GTS. Have read the PCM manual and can not find any reference to having the time, or date, display, except on the Info screen. The footer where the outside temp is displayed on the bottom right, and the audio source on the bottom left are the only data points I can see. If someone has managed to get time of day in the footer of the nav or audio screen, please post details of how, or provide the page number in the manual.

Not familiar with 997.2 PCM but here's a screen shot from my 2008 Turbo.

It's in the trip computer but you may not realize that there are three pages. It's on p1. See page 107 of the pdf version of the 2009 PCM manual.
