Default new car - new member - first post

Hi all,

I've been a steady reader for the last few weeks and wanted to share my excitement of being a new 997 owner.

I recently picked up a CPO'd 2009 C2S w/ PDK, Sport Chrono, and PSE and couldn't be happier. I've already set up a clear-bra install, ordered high-temp brake fluid, and picked out track pads and a new aluminum jack. I'm on seats-edge in anticipation of attending my first HPDE.

Now, this might make you laugh, I literally took my first ride ever in and test drove a p-car on a Monday and went through with the purchase of this car by Friday, talk about a convincing first impression! My previous car was an e93 M3, also a fun car though very different from the 911.

Thanks for all the great info already!

Here's a picture of the new ride:

Welcome! Congrats on the new ride. I happen to know the prior owner if you want me to ask him anything about the car.

Nice! I pass right by where your pic was taken daily on my way home from the west side. I'm gonna do my first DE soon also. Maybe I'll see you there.

Good question, I'm actually not sure as the car was originally spec'd with the turbo style wheels.

Speaking of, I would love to pick up a pair of turbo-wheels if anyone is looking to sell theirs, please let me know. (I do plan to keep the Carrera S wheels too, perhaps they can be the track set)

Thanks everyone for the welcome and nice comments!

Congrats... sweet C2S. I transitioned 2 years ago from an E36 M3 cab supercharged to my '08 C2S coupe. Haven't looked back since... welcome aboard!
