Your luggage compartment should have a flat panel at the bottom, unless I'm not understanding something here. This should just drop in to your front luggage compartment.

I just put one of those in the trunk of my 4S. It was a tight fit but clearly will not be moving around. Now the wife can put some groceries up there and I don't have to worry about a spilt items.

I bought one so I can answer your question, it fits really tight, but you are correct, you lose a tiny amount of frunk space because the bottom of this IS flat and the bottom of your Frunk is not. At first I was wondering why they made it like that, now I actually like it flat.
