New 991 GT3

Try looking at the bigger picture and ask yourself why Porsche is now market itself in a completely new direction. Porsche is deviating away from its roots and designing grand touring cars in my opinion. Even the GT3 videos are ridiculous, "When you enter a corner you should stay close to the outside lines....." give me a break. Porsche no longer speaks to the car enthusiast. If they did, you wouldn't see this sort of marketing. They now speak to the wannabe.
Wow....I have tons of money so if I buy the new GT3 people will think I'm a race car driver. OMG.....awesome. That PDK is so cool and the rear wheel steering will help me parallel park.

LOL That degree will certainly pay off. Good luck with all that. I've actually been thinking about a Macbook but the new detachable stuff with Windows 8 for half the price is amazing. Actually owning a 911 may be in your future after you pay off that Mortgage....I mean student loan.
Try a quad shot americano....less fat.

Basically, you're right. Porsche doesn't care about me because I'm no longer their demographic. I was actually just expecting something a little more raw with the GT3. Shouldn't have got my hopes up.
New car next year for the wifey and the kids are almost gone so perhaps it will be a Z06 or an old 911.

Hipsters are the spoiled rotten kids still living at home for free, dressing like homeless children, sitting in Starbucks drinking coffee, posting on the liberal web sites working for Obama using their Apple Computers and texting all their friends looking for the next feel good opportunity. They normally drive their parents luxury cars quilting their parents into giving them spending money on a weekly basis. These kids are looking for the perfect high paying job that will come looking for them hoping that the hiring manager shares their same passion and pleasure for dub step, indie music and pot. They also capitalized on their parents generosity, going against their parents will, to go into massive debt by staying in school for the last 8-years studying the liberal arts and getting a maters degree that won't pay off. Should I elaborate more?
2) You can't blame everything on Obama, and certainly not the death of the purist sports car. You'll lose your political credibility on that one
3) I agree the younger kids are entitled but that's the parents fault.
4) The hipsters actually don't give a crap about cars. They care more about their smart phones. Watch out the link below is from HuffPost and may burn your eyes:

5) If you really want to blame the death of the purist sports car on something, blame it on the GT-R with its fake $80k price and souless yet blisteringly fast lap times that allow my grandma to post a good time on the ring. Porsche has to keep up.
6) It is my personal belief that this is all cyclical. Just wait, in 20 years when all the cars are self driving, people will be flooding the racetracks to get the pure driving experience. Hopefully they'll want it in its most unadultrated form. Not only will manuals make a comeback, but heck we might even get synchroless transmissions.

LOL But Obama blames everything on the GOP. Can I at least blame socialism?
You are right about that GTR....big goofy car full of electronics. Awesome but not for me.
Most of what I said was in gest. Times change and we all need to get used to it I guess.
I know nothing about the hipsters but I think I see them at Starbucks. They do seem kind of entitled driving their mom's Rover but to me they do look kind of homeless dressed with their vintage scarf and tight clothes. IMO They don't care about cars because they are driving their parents cool cars.
BTW Both my sons love cars. The youngest wants a muscle car.

Would definitely be faster, but 100% a different animal than before. I think by far the biggest change is engine not being Metzger, which means it may not be as reliable, as well as the stupid 4-wheel steering which apart from impact on your driving would most likely add to cost of maintenance and again make it not as desirable as a track car!
There's no mention of steering, I am sure it's also electric, car is actually 73 pounds heavier! Yeah, that's right... due to PDK and 4-wheel steering. It also just doesn't looks right IMO, too many angles.
Oh well... good for me, 997 values will go a bit higher.

Most of you guys have probably seen this.
The GT3 actually looks pretty good. It has impressive 475hp but to be honest I started to lose interest when the narrator started in with driving instruction, rear wheel steering and the Auto trans. All of this stuff is totally gay....

I'm a kid of the 80's. Everything and everyone including your mom was and can be gay. LOL
Tennessee, our rule is that you can be gay all you want....just don't act upon your desire.
I was raised in Detroit suburbs and spent 10 years in Chicago and 4 years in Washington State.

There is a small section that has a bit on the rear steering. It looks like it is electric actuated. If rear steering was a good idea wouldn't race teams use it in F1 or GT3? IDK Maybe they do. Think about how much it's going to cost to remove that stuff so guys can make what's supposed to be track worthy car into a track worthy car.
