Well Porsche of Arlington is the same dealership that recommended I replace my Hydralic lifters, Clutch, and RMS for a grand total of 12 grand in there shop. I replaced nothing and 19,000 the car is running as flawless as it did when I had that service.

Not saying there guilty, just my experience with them.

This is like waiting for the end of an NCIS episode. Very odd ....done business with Omar for years on both maintenance and buying cars and he's been nothing but honest and forthright in all dealings. I trust his advice and follow it and have a 2006 997 that runs and sounds like a beast.
No experience with Arlington other than hearing from other Rennlisters like Nick but hope it gets resolved and you find out what happened..

To the OP. I think 2005997carrera2's post is key to you. If whoever did this didn't mind doing such an obvious thing to your car, then who knows what hidden things were done also.

I am not trying to make you paranoid; however, you should find out exactly how this happened cause once you do, you will be able to ascertain what else, if anything, was done to your car.

In my opinion, just fixing the problem is not enough.

In the end is your car/your money. Just trying to give you a different perspective.

Just fix it, drive it, and put this issue to bed. Great looking car, enjoy.

I should have known where your mind was... I think you should keep your eyes on the gauges.

Default End of the Story !

The part arrived today and after having the switch panel swapped out with the one with correct switches, the test drive confirmed everything is working exactly as it is supposed to.

Where and how the panel was switched out to the one without Sport and Sport+ buttons will remain a mystery, however, I really don't care at this point. The car is great and I will enjoy it!

I should also thank Omar and Matt at Intersport as they did everything reasonable to get this corrected, and while some of the posters were pointing fingers at them, I always had a good "gut feeling" about the operation and both of them. They stood behind the sale and their product and "made it right". I would not hesitate one second to buy another car from them.
