Delavilla 'Humps'
Another guy on 6 speed posted a picture of this car with Delavilla Humps. I sort of like this. Anyone ever seen this live? Is is hokey or just a nice touch? I prefer it to the whale backs of the OEM speedster and needless to say a fraction of the cost.

That looks awesome! One of the biggest issues I have with the Speester other than the ridiculous cost is the extra details they add to the bumpers. I would much prefer the humps and nothing else.

Overdraft,
I bought the Delavilla kit from Suncoast for $2200 and it's sitting in my spare room (very large box) as I type.
I'm not a big mod guy but I thought I might like the different look and key for me is that there's no drilling/screwing/welding to add/install this and it's suppose to take about 2 minutes to remove
I intended to post results and my thoughts when I got the panels painted up and installed. My trusted paint guy won't be able to get to it till April.
I did actually go to Suncoast to check out their display. They had the humps on a 991 ( a little different look than the 997) however I liked what I saw (fit & finish etc.) and ordered them. The original price was $3k but they dropped it to $2200 so I decided to take a chance.
The kit includes the two fiberglass panels and what I'll call the "beam" that sits behind the seats to accommodate the panels, as well as a little mounting hardware. My first thought was.... not too impressive, however it did look nice on the display and that's what I'm hoping for.
Hope this helps and if you have any more questions..... fire away!
Ken
ps I up here in snow covered New England so the scheduled April painting isn't so bad, besides, my car has a fear of ice, snow & SALT!

I spoke to the distributor in Orlando and they sell the kit for $1,900. This includes the center beam which is unpainted. They want an extra $260 to paint and they also include shipping. The Suncoast part is the Deluxe model their center beam is painted. I found out that the little headrests do not come with the kit anymore and therefore the cost is reduced. Did yours come with them? Thanks.

Chuck,
My 997 kit looks exactly as pictured in the OP first post. The 991 kit was crazy money, over $5k as I recall however Suncoast has reduced it as well, but still more money than the 997 kit. I believe there's been no change in my kit since day one so it might be the 991 kit you're referring to.
Also my beam is finished BLACK. the trick will be to get a good hump to body match.
Ashfin, I'm hoping to have the humps ready for C&C at Taunton, Ma. this spring which I know you're very familiar with!

The blue 991 pictured is the car sample I checked out at Suncoast. Again the fit and finish was good and it helped sell me.
I did ask about rattle at speed. The staff assured there was no rattle and it seems to divert some wind acting as a small wind screen.
Also, Plus 1 for the Suncoast staff, very helpful and patient.
