The practical side of me looked at this huge box (weighing less than 40 lbs) and saw two fiber glass panels and a Styrofoam-ish main beam and thought..... gee! there isn't a lot of sophisticated material here. That's where I had the thought "not that impressive".

On the other hand, the display I saw at Suncoast sold me, so if I can duplicate that I will be impressed!

When I had a Boxster, I looked into the fiberglass humps for around $800 bucks. That is my pricing comparison. It is a cool clean look though.

Ken since I can't make it to the Cars and Coffee anymore make sure you post up some pictures when it is complete!

PS, I can't blame you for keeping the car in storage until late April. The road conditions alone would be enough to scare me. Wait until they get the potholes filled.

Certainly not the final word on this, however I can't see them interfering with any crash safety features etc. They are basically 2 light weight fiberglass panels that cover the exposed Cab top and the rear seat compartment.

Appears I'll have to watch the weather for rain because the two piece panels won't fit in the frunck. I do believe once the panels are removed they will fit behind the seats along side the main support "beam" that can remain in place with the top up.
My panels won't be painted till sometime in April, (they're still in the box) once installed I'll know more.
