As a newer member and new guy overall to P cars...I want to say you all are the best and most supportive guys.

I have learned so much from all of you and have been fortunate to connect some names here to faces meeting the member in person.

That having said, USMC and all the time he's taken to chime in regarding numerous topics here and his great DIY posts..is
the man...

Thanks all for all you do!

Wow guys... thanks but I have to admit that I still consider myself the rookie on our forum. I have much to learn about the 997. I think if there is any special recognition it should be extended to those senior statesman on our forum... the likes of Macster, Edgy, and jhbrennan to name just a few. Sorry if I failed to name others. This is a great community of enthusiast and I'm grateful to all of you, your insight, and your friendship.

Semper Fi,

James

James,

While I agree there are many great contributors to this forum, I always enjoy your posts and DIY contributions. I have tackled some of the DIY tasks specifically because of the DIY sticky. I appreciate every contributor and agree this is a great community.

Regards,
Mark

How is it possible to pick one person?

Gone (to the 991 Board) but not forgotten is Gary (Simsgw) who, as an engineer (and very good driver), always posted thoughtful (and long) posts. I don't think I always agreed with him but he has a gift for explaining technical details in an easily understood manner.

james i have to agree, your contirbutions have been most helpful to a lot of our brothers here. yes it is difficult to name a single person as some have mentioned, gary, dan, macster with his technical and very descriptive ways of posting.
there are others but i will second james' nomination as his name stands out on my mind during the 2012 year.
i nominate rotes for best avatar and fastest growing member. i think he just recently joined the forum and he has participated in so many treads and is very active. way to go rotes.
special award for tom reaching 1000 posts.
special thanks to moderators who managed to keep our forum clean,of course we cant prevent some of the actions of a number of our uneducated, rude and those who think that having money makes them more than the others, we know who they are. But Yes, for 2012, our forum have been well managed.

I just want to give my thanks to all that post their DIYs and are always willing to give of their time to help.
I know that Edgy's DIY on how to pull the PCM out of the dash saved me hundreds of dollars when I had a blown fuse. And USMC's and other's posts on water pumps, spark plugs, etc. will save me hundreds more dollars, and/or hours of time in the next month or so. All your contributions make it much easier when one lives 175 miles away from the nearest Dealer or Indy shop.

Ditto.

Really enjoy everyone's posts and this adds to the whole Pcar experience. Great group here and the best site I've been on. Miss Gary's posts as well and he is an exceptional writer. Throw in rotesauto's avatars, what more could one ask for?

Even the ocassional smack downs from Quad Cammer make the site thoroughly enjoyable. Haven't been Qcam'd yet but he'll nail me at some point.

Great posts from utkinpol, gotta911, ronct, Edgy, Sandwedge, Spokane, buckwheat, boola, mdrums, kosmo, mike in ca, alexb, just to name a few that come to mind.
