Default 997 GTS vs 991S

If you could purchase a very low mile 2011 GTS with aero pkg or a new 991S, with some discount which would you choose. Do you think the 991 will obsolete the 997 body-style, accelerating the depreciation of the 997.

Thanks

Mark

I have an 11 GTS and have had a 991S for loaner. If I could make the pick today and the delta wasn't too great I'd go for the 991S.

I'm curious as to why you would go for the 991S instead of the GTS?

I have looked at both. I have seen some GTS vehicles for $90k with low miles and some 991S models for a little above $100k. It's a tough call as I find the GTS more fun to drive, more raw, and it feels faster to me. The 991S is actually faster and much nicer inside but not quite as much fun. I hope that makes sense. The cars each have a different "feel."

I think the 997 has a more traditional '911 look" but love the looks of the 991 too. Good luck!

If depreciation is a factor then I'd go for the GTS as it's rare compared to the thousands of 991's pumping out of the factory. Otherwise drive both and get the car that suits you best... GL and let us know what you end up with.

I've never driven a GTS but have driven a 991S. The 991S was very fast and sounded great! didn't have the PSE so I can only imagine how much better it can be. It would make for a great DD.

I'll play with it. That's the size that keeps coming up.
