Single Cylinder Misfire
2012 C4S 3500 miles (Standard Transmission)
Cylinder #6 Misfire. Car shudders (like its gonna stall) on acceleration, much worse at lower RPMs less noticeable @ >5000
Has anyone had any issues?
Dealer initially thought it was a gas quality issue. I've only ever filled with 93 octane (7 11 gas...).
Any help/direction would be appreciated.

Is it intermittent or constant?
What happens if you shut it off and start it again? Does it run normal for a while even though the CEL stays on?
It's way too early for anything unless there's a defective part. I'm pretty sure it's something simple like a loose spark plug,a coil rubber booth or an electrical connector.

Did you say 7 11 gas? I highly recommend a top tier gas not Costco nor 7 11 or any other. www.toptiergas.com

took it to legend! thankfully had a bad experience with Huntington last time.
Constant shuttering. Even after restart. Does not run normal at all. I hope the find out soon.

Where is BP? and Sunoco? two companies who supposedly have very high quality fuel.

If they aren't on the list they are not Top Tier gas. Check to see if BP or Sunoco sell under different brands in your area. But I would definitely stay away from 7 11 or Costco gas.

There will be opinions but it's like playing the lottery when it comes to misfires. There are several reasons that can cause misfires : fuel related, electrical or mechanical. Vacuum leaks can cause misfires as well.
A good diagnostic goes thru all of them. But in your case, considering the low miles and brand new car, most technicians are not going to bother much with mechanical, vacuum(unless you've had recent work done, which I doubt...) or even fuel(maybe after further diagnostic,if other have been eliminated...like check if injectors are firing).
A technician will jump straight to electrical in your case and check the spark plug, coil, connector. I suspect he'd start with cylinder no 6...
Unfortunately it's not easy to check those on a 997,otherwise you might attempt finding out yourself...
Again,IMO only a defective part can cause problems at this mileage or parts that have become loose or not connected properly...

My vote is plug or coil, defective or loose.
The aft-most coil on the driver's side is directly under a drain hose (brilliant guys), so it is sometimes the first to go.

Just spoke with the service manager at Legend Porsche. Seems like a faulty fuel injector. Parts ordered... we'll see.
Has anyone experienced a fuel injector failure on such a new vehicle? makes me wonder about the other 5 injectors...
