Call me crazy but buying $100k car and dropping another $10k+ into it and driving it 81 miles only to lose $50k seems a little demented IMO. Just say'n.....

Your loss will be someone else gain.

Interesting. I'm not sure why some of the fellas are beating you up.. some guys buy expensive watches to look at, some guys buy expensive guns to look at, you bought an expensive car to look at.

Somebody's going to get a helluva deal on a new/used Porsche.

Very well stated! If I didn't already own one this would be a PRIZED find! Good luck with the sale.

Or do you think an S looks better sitting 2 inches higher like a 4X4?

Amazing car and very tempting. This is a Porsche lovers fantasy with the big brakes, upgrade mufflers, and lightweight wheels. I had spec'ed out a base car with light wheels and PCCB's just to see how it would price out. The suspension is a bonus. Do you have any idea what it weighs? How do these brakes compare to the PCCB's?

What are you getting when you sell it? Another perfectionist project? A new life? Or what?

Count me in as one of the people who just doesn't "get it". I've always felt that great cars are for DRIVING, not sitting around.

If I had an expensive watch, I'd still wear it. If I had an expensive gun, I'd still shoot it. Even if I had an ultra-expensive car, like a Lamborghini Aventador or a Bugatti Veyron, I'd still drive it.

In a sappy kind of way, I feel sorry for a 911 that only has 81 miles on it. If I were rich and had extra money lying around, I'd be seriously tempted to buy that car, ship it to Germany, open her up on the autobahn and the 'Ring, and let that car's soul run free...150 MPH, bugs hitting the bumper, and the engine screaming.

But, to each his own I guess.

Wear my Omega every day. However, I don't drive my 911 in the rain, snow, windy weather, park in the back of the lot, never drive in bad neighborhoods, never drive behind trucks of any kind, wash it twice a week and I wax it once a month. But when I do drive it.....I ream the **** out it in every gear. LOL

Not driving your car is like not screwing your girl friend. Your just saving her for the next guy.
