I'll do my anti-rain dance tonite!

USMC_DS1, this is a very cool thing you are doing for your uncle, and especially for a veteran.

I try to spend as much time with my parent's generation as I can, they have experiences that are a big part of who each of is.

Looking forward to shaking your uncles hand on Sunday.

It's working! Sunday is improving. Partly cloudy with 20% chance of rain.

I suggest you take your uncle for the ride, forget what the doctor says- I'm not sure of his condition, but he is aware of what is going on, then a ride is a must- Wish i was in CALI i would be there in a heartbeat to take him for a ride

USMC, I'm sorry to learn that your family is going through such a time.
While at the same time I am glad you are able to make the trip for one of the true heroes of that generation and generations to come...

Daberlin is a great guy and I'm sorry I am missing out and cannot offer any help being in Northern Cali. I know you mentioned working up here in Burlingame before, so if you're ever in town let me know..love to meet another awesome Rennlister.

All the best to you and your family during the visit

Tarek, I'm hoping that my Aunt will have a change of heart and let Uncle Tom ride in the 911 once she see's us all assembled... or more likely Tom will request the ride.

VG, I'm on a flight from SFO to LAX currently... will be back in the bay area in 2 wks... let's meet then.

For RL members coming to this special event... please look for a PM from me with some contact info JIC you need to reach me. Again, thank you to all and have a great weekend.

Looks like Kika's rain dance is paying off. We're on for a meet n greet at Palermo Restaurant this Sunday, 27JAN, @ 10:30am. http://www.palermorestaurant.net/

So please come by to join us for brunch and to meet Uncle Tom and Aunt Harriet. Again brunch is on me Palermo has reserved five parking spaces in back for our mini parade of Porsche. See you tomorrow. I've forwarded my contact information to those who indicated that they'll be able to join us.

Andrew Ward, I could not email/PM you... please send me a PM and I'll respond with my contact info should you need it.

Semper Fi,

James

This is a fascinating string. Who knew a bunch of Gear-Heads (aka "Petrol Heads" in Jeremy Clarkson speak) would have so much good-will potential.
