TCU (Transmission Control Unit )upgrade-- Please help/advise.
TCU (Transmission Control Unit)upgrade. I have no idea where to begin. Where to buy? How many of you have upgraded your TCU?
PLEASE HELP!
Hi Guys, As some of you may already know that I am new to Prosche. I have 2006, C2S 997 automatic 5 speed (Tiptronic).
I took my car to the La Jolla Auto Tech (Porsche/ Audi) independent service today. After test drive, Lubo Podolsky (owner) advised me to change the TCU (transmission Control Unit) since the car wasn’t timely shifting; he said that I have to research it out. He also advised me to get my transmission fluid flushed / changed $680 ($400 parts) as the car has hit 80K mark.
Your thoughts please?
