Default WEVO vs Torque Solutions...

Ok... so I am about to pull the trigger on some semi-solid motor mounts. I have found a set from Torque Solutions by AWD:

And of course, the WEVO's:

They are both priced comparably. My question is if anyone has experience with both, and what observations you may have on either or both.

I did a fair amount of research here, but could only find feedback on the WEVO's.

Thanks much in advance!

Cool easy upgrade. Be sure to do a DIY if you do it yourself. I want to install these as well.

I thought that this was the DIY:

I'm looking more for feedback on the two manufacturers.

While I certainly understand the improvement of semi-solid motor mounts for a manual transmission car, has anyone done the mod on a PDK C2S and if so were any improvements and or increased vibration noted?

I'll be buying a set soon too. There are several threads on the forums that compare the choices. From what I gather, Torque Solutions are the stiffest and transfer more vibrations. WEVO and RSS seem to transfer noticable vibrations only at idle. I will probably get the RSS mounts (http://rss.rpmware.com/rss/rss_perfo.../i-533242.aspx).

I can honestly say that I run some Torque Solutions stuff and a lot of the guys I track with running it because we know Eddie at Race Parts Warehouse and Mike at AWD and they are good guys with a good product. Both are also rennlist sponsors and great to do business with.

Hello Guys !

Both products are really good, I personally used Wevo mounts in my own GT2 in the past. That being said, I felt the need for a set of mounts that was a little bit stiffer, as I still had movement on my drive train under braking and turning, so that's when the Torque Solution Mount came into place.
A set of mounts that doesn't transmit any vibration to the cabin, but gave me the extra stiffness needed.
Pretty happy with the results.
Most of the Florida guys with GT3 RSs run Torque Solution products, and trust me they go thru the hardest beating possible at Sebring, and all with great success.

BTW Did I say that they have lifetime warranty ???

Guys, please let me know and I'll be happy to put a group buy together.

Here is a video that we did with Torque Solution products while running in my personal car.

Thanks for that... I did finally order the WEVO's. I didn't see your link until after I placed my order, so I guess I paid about $50 more.

With over 200 sets sold and no complaints of vibration even from the pickiest customers with daily driven manual and tip cars I'm confident you guys will like them. As Eddie said. Lifetime warranty how can you beat that. Anyone interested get with Eddie in the group buy or if you don't want to wait pm him to place an order and get them right away.

By the way Eddie can sell you guys these for 349.00. Or 329 in a group buy of 10 people.

I'll bet that Eddie can do even better than $329 on the Torque Solutions TS-00-002. The price on his web site is $305 plus ~$15 for shipping. (I'm not affiliated with any vendor.)

Well there you go. Maybe even better than 329.00.

Drummin - I'm not sure you ever commented on whether you liked this upgrade. Did you notice a difference?

Thanks for the nudge Spokane... I have indeed installed the mounts, in fact it is about time to re-check the torque on the main bolts. Between the mounts, and an ECU upgrade from Vivid Racing that I performed following the installation of the mounts, the car is more responsive at low RPM, and pulls nicely all the way through the RPM range. I am very happy with the mounts and the ECU flash! Vivid claims a 20 hp gain on the C2, and my "seat of the pants dyno" seems to feel the extra hp, as well as a smoother delivery of power.
