I believe the majority of the complaints about staining from the blue is by 996 owners--perhaps the reservoir plastic breaks down over time (since the 996s are older) and begin to absorb some of the fluid's color.

It may void your warranty to include the CPO. And the blue will absolutely stain your calipers if your not careful.

How in the world can the blue stain the calipers?

It will stain your shirt too.....you are supposed to put it inside the system. Sorry to be flippant, but the blue does not hurt anything. It just makes it easier to see fresh fluid when you alternate between blue and yellow...at least for me.

Does blue and gold (like yellow) mix together then getting green fluid at the bleed?...

No, the more yellow mixes with the blue the lighter the blue gets but no green, just 50 shades of blues

I alternate amber and blue, but ATE Super Blue is being withdrawn from the market because it doesn't meet DOT 4 standards, which require brake fluid to be amber. Not sure of this is US only or worldwide, but ATE super blue is disapearing from shelves here.

Since you asked, if you're not carefull when bleeding and are not thorough with cleanup, any fluid left on the EXTERIOR of the caliper will stain it. I've seen it on track cars.

The point may be moot in the US. I believe the DOT has banned the sale of Ate S Blue here.

Make perfect sense, otherwise you might mistakenly use windshield washer fluid in your brake system

The trick is to know when to stop (a.k.a. when the old fluid is out). That's why the trick is to alternate between blue and gold.

Here's the sequence:
Right rear first, then left rear, then right front, then left front.
At each caliper: inner nipple first, then outer nipple
I did my Cayenne last week and I'm pretty sure the manual said to bleed the outer nipple before the inner nipple. Is this different on a 997 (dealer has always done it on my car).

Super blue works great and no staining.

Yes you bleed the outer nipple first, then the inner nipple. The principal is always to bleed the farthest away from the Master cylinder first. Outer nipple is the farthest distance.

this has really gotten down to semantics. I bleed inner first, so you only need the bleed the fluid in the caliper on the outer.

bottom line, it doesn't really matter.

I use ATE typ 200. Read it same as blue... but its not blue.I track my car on street tires and OEM brakes and have not had issues with the fluid boiling. I will be going with motul if I ever goto R compound and FPC pads.

When does this go into effect? I just bought 2 cans a few months back from Pelican. Their site still shows it for sale.
