will there be a big difference with the shape and look of the car if i have the sunroof on?
there will be a weight difference i guess but not a major one.
No difference in shape. To me, my eyes might pause at the color change at the top. Seems too targa to me. See this pic for example. Not my cup of tea.
But heck, looks as though I'm in the minority so don't mind me. 991 is great looking and your colors are super tasteful. I'm curious to see live example and report back.
Yeah i think i will keep the sunroof and red brakes, thinking of changing it to black interior, really like the espresso interior but think black would suit the exterior and the sunroof. Espresso would look amazing on the white
Both colors are great but not together because they Re not in the same warm /cool family.
Either stick with cool colors or warm they will compliment each other nicely. IMHO
Sunroofs are for weenies. My 997.1S has one, but Porsche gave you no choice on that in 2008. Kudos to Porsche for making it optional on the new model.
Advantages to solid roof are numerous. Less weight, more structural rigidity on the track where a 911 belongs, more headroom, quieter (wind noise both open and shut), less cost, one less thing to fix in the future when it breaks, and so on.
Here is mine midnight blue. It has a bi color interior. Grey with back dash, wheel and top 3rd of door. Don't think the two colors you proposed work well together.
If you're comfortable with the way that the 991 sunroof works and how it looks then go for it. Personally, I don't care for it on the 991. Looks terrible.
Love the exterior color and the interior color, but like Mumbles, I don't think they work well together. I would choose black for the interior. Keep the glass and regular red brake calipers. My 2 cents worth.
