Good info and I agree with your comment about 6,000 rpm. A better example wold be exiting a corner at 40 mph which is about 4,200 rpm in 2nd. This is the shift that I want to nail and is relatively common on the road. Practice, practice, practice and maybe a B&M short shifter someday dave

This sounds like an upshift, not a downshift, if you're exiting. .?

Great video of Ayrton, in driving mocs no less! He was arguably the best. Great movie of his life now out on DVD. I recommend it to those who haven't yet seen it.

Mt Tam is definitely a place to drive....but only when the cyclists aren't deluding themselves to think they own the roads.

The B&M is only $250 and an easy DIY. The 4,200 RPM shift is a nice hard puller that can get you a litte rally coming out of a nice tight ture. I can dig it....

I'll have to get up there and drive Tam....never have, and I live in the city (shame on me)

more importantly, seems I really need to get to a school - like Barber in Alabamy

I love how Senna reams the **** out of that Acura. I wouldn't have let him drive my car. Haha
