Default Clear Bra

What are recommendations and cost experiences for the clear bra? Do you recommend full hood/fenders or partial? I got an estimate of $400 installed back 18" from the front of the hood from a reputable installer who is used by the local lexus and porsche dealerships.

I would do the full hood and fenders. Also do your mirrors! Well worth the extra cost to do the entire hood. You'll see chips halfway up if not... Good luck.

Get the full hood, front bumpers, fenders, and headlights. If you do the half hood it'll look cheap and will get lots of dings.

Don't forget the headlights, expensive to replace and the clear bra ( I use expel) works great and protects the lens from scratches.

Full Hood, Full Fenders, Bumper, Mirrors, A Pillar

Cost ranges from $1300 - $1800 depending on installer and product used. Most important thing is to do your homework on the installer. where are you located?

Birmingham, Alabama. It is 24" not 18" for that price but I just found out that does not include the bumper, which seems senseless.

Reminds me of those plastic sofa covers of the 60's.
But, I did it anyway, not the whole car though.

When you find a reputable installer he should offer you several packages that he can show online. Mostly are pattern cut covering the front end to the whole car.

I was told that a black car is a hard colour to apply film to with successful results ......I had the 3m and it worked out fine.

I got the 3M full bumper, mirrors and 18" up the hood and fenders. My car's white so under most light the film is undetectable. I went to a small shop that does a lot of high end vehicles and paid <500 (normally they were charging ~700 for this but I had connections...)
So sounds like you're in good hands.

He showed me a new car on the showroom he had done the 24" bra on, honestly I just don't like the way the line looks. He is giving me a price for the full hood but I am wondering if there are noticeable seams with an area that large?

Will be doing a full front, hands down this is the best stuff on the market. No more orange peel from the old 3M days. Watch the videos you'll be impressed.
