The home button will be functional thru the bezel (an extra home button will be placed there that connects to the iPad's home button, (remember you can use hand gestures, 4 or 5 fingers, to navigate thru apps without having to use the home button and you can use the 5 finger pinch to go back to the home screen) all the center dash will be painted to match...
Good for you, but you lost many OEM functionalities, Sports Chrono, etc... and most other things are available on an iPhone, no? I dont see watching a Video while driving.

Google Maps are interesting, maybe I see that as value, unless you upgraded to iOS 6 and got Apple Maps which gets you lost!

I have sport chrono package plus and my PCM was never able to control over the pod. nor I had any user selectable options available... so in my case, the PCM is worthless as I have a dension to play my iPod and pretty much never venture outside that.

The paint I'm going to use is plastic dip, because I want it to be reversible when the car is sold, so I keep my ipad and put the PCM back in.

Thanks again for the kind words!

You can also access Home and othe rmenus thru Assistive Touch in the General>Accessibility menu. If I upgrade to DDIN, this may be an option. Nice work

Very nice work.

On paint, we use Porsche specific, but there are some tricks to getting it to lay down correctly on those panels without disturbing how any of the buttons function.

We do offer this as a painting service for those who need it.

The audio/ipad install looks awesome. Congrats, hope it finishes up well.

Nice.

Yes this looks very nice. I think you're on to something here...especially the map functions and ipod music file capability. How do you charge it tho and also sync it though? But for the wireless functions and apps and also ability to load docs is a plus too. Video is great for passengers and those times when you're stuck in traffic or on a ferry or something but I agree the video in motion mods out there like this have no place in the driving environment. Enuff distractions and crazy drivers out there already man! LOL Good luck and keep us posted especially on the final product and applicability.

I love it! I can't wait to actually have integrated Siri and more in the future. Great stuff.
