Swapping 997.1 tail lights for 997.2?

Much more reasonable to buy the RotTec ones. No body work. Just swap in.

Agreed.
They look great. I get compliments on them quite often.
I also have Rottec front and rear.

Check out FVD Brombacher; Rhonda is great with customer service.
Have front DRL for my 997.1 GT3; plug and play and hoping to buy the rear LED from them next spring.

For me, Rotec or Dectane were not an option. The real reason why I wanted the LED lights was because I wanted the decklid reflector. The 997.2 deck lid reflector doesn't look good with aftermarket lights because they do not taper in the corners to meet the decklid.

AFAIK, there are no aftermarket LED tailight options for the 997.2.

I like my 997.1 because it is a 4S without the reflector!

I've always felt that the post 911 reflectors look contrived. These cars don't benefit from the added center reflector. It just clutters them up--but that's only my opinion.

Yes. The diminished real estate on the spoiler makes 'Carrera 4S' look cramped a bit too.
