As others have stated, the 997.2 does give you the LEDs (you can buy aftermarket ones for the 997.1) and 30 more hp.

I need 4 doors enough that I would need to keep the sedan.
Thank you!

I am a big fan of the B7 RS4.

Definitely will snow up the C4S.

Will have access to the X5 when I need more than 2 doors.

I like the engine sund better in the older version, but my 997.2 had sport exhaust that, when activated, made up for the less appealing basic exhaust note. Personally I was not crazy abut the LED lighting, but many people do like them.
Good data here.

Thank you.

I'm also in colorado and the car works great for me. I've owned both 997.1 and 997.2 C4S, and do like the .2 better. A little more power, I prefer the sound of the new Sport Exhaust. Also think it's one of the prettiest 911s ever produced, except maybe for the 993 Turbo I had. My avatar pic has my winter wheels and tires.

I've been thinking hard about the 991 C4S. Have had the opportunity to drive 991s for a few days and I really like the car. Personally I will probably wait 3 years or so. In terms of price, you may still find some 2012 C4S cars at a discount. Base on the 991 C4S is about $105k, and I bet you'll be around $120k by the time you put in the "necessary" options.

PM me if I can be of any assistance!
Yes, I have been reading the thread. Thank you.

I may reach out to you once I get myself a little more educated.

Thanks for the offer.

I hear you loud and clear. The argument about looks can be made to almost every pcar generation since the beginning...except for the 996....did I just say that out load...

Wow, that would complete my p-car set of g-red 911's. Better than a t-bill as an investment too. Someone please buy that thing before I do something that will land me in divorce court.

OP, how do you keep that under carriage so clean/pristine? Power wash? Simple Green? Very impressive. I must admit that I'm feeling a little inadequate re the maintenance of my car's under carriage.

Like most cars from the factory in Germany, my car undercarriage, suspension and wheel wells came covered in cosmoline. I think they spray that crap all over the metal parts to protect from salt air corrosion for the boat journey from Germany. Anyway, I can't stand that stuff. The best way that I have found to remove cosmoline is to spray on Xenit http://www.autogeek.net/xenit.html and then wire brush the surface and then wipe off. This takes is a fairly major effort, but the results are very rewarding.

Once removed, basic road grime is easily washed off.
