Almost made it 1000 miles.......
Good Day Drivers....
I made almost 1000 miles pass before the dreaded CEL illuminates me and my heart!
It's not clear what the code was and I will be returning to the dealer this morning to confirm the problem...........crossing my fingers for the CPO
warranty to be helpful in any sort of way haha....
more details later when I ascertain the issue/issue's....
I feel your pain. My indy was supposed to be "researching" my continuing CEL issue, and was to call me with their findings....still waiting for that call 4 weeks later. I guess that's a message, no? Tough to sell a car that has the CEL lit....

well well....
hope it works out for you McCulla.......CEL's can drive you bonkers without a doubt!
I did hear back from the dealer and it seems a faulty carbon canister has caused my CEL to glow....
don't completely understand the issue, but a part will be shipped and installed tomorrow at no cost to me..(hip hip hurray)....
the car never showed any signs of weakness, and a tech said I could drive it, but it's from an emissions perspective that they're concerned....
guess all will be fine...
Your carbon canister is part of your EVAP system, its stores the fuel vapors from the gas station fill-ups and from the fuel tank. Under certain circumstances it dumps those vapors into your engine to be burned thus reducing emissions. I would ensure that the Tech has inspected your EVAP system to make sure that those carbon pellets from the canister have not leaked out into the system from your defective carbon canister. If they have you will have to replace every hose and valve in the EVAP system, an expensive proposition as you can imagine.

well oh boy!
back in the shop today! LOL!!!
my horn got stuck blarring! haha....
drove 14 miles with it blasting.......pretty obnoxious I'd agree...
the PASM light also decided to share it's beautiful color too.......
I have to say with today's technology it is unbelievable that car makers do not give a bit more info on fault codes and bunch up tons of errors into one bucket aka CEL. This is not just Porsche, they all do it and it is time to let the driver know with a simple one or two word description.

well, an awkward situation: dealer says the other dealer didn't install the horn
properly.......fried a control board (300+) and the horn is fried too LOL!!!!
the PASM warning was because of faulty part: covered....
now the two dealers are discussing the horn issue.....to see who will cover time, labor and
parts to replace the improperly installed horn: sounds like the dealer that put it in, but I'll have to wait and see........

Wow - when was the horn replaced. I thought this was all about your CEL - related??

I had my horn switched with an air horn about a week ago......
have found out the dealer that installed it installed it WRONG!!!
but they are taking FULL responsibility for it and putting the stock horn
back on, paying for the control board and the labor too.....
having the PASM done under warranty...
it's been a rough week for my Pcar...
but DAMN I have HRE's on the way!!!!
I am really impressed with the integrity of the two dealers I have been
working with: very nice people that have been doing the right thing!
