You ext. warranty service contract holders
what have you and how do you like what you've got?
I know it might be a touchy area, but be brave say the truth

Interested in this also. Looking to buy a used PDK C2S or C4S. One car I am considering has about 11 months of factory warranty left. Another has just ran out of warranty. Both cars have less then 10K miles on them.
I have heard Porsche Certified Pre Owned cost about $2K if the car does not need much work. Can you buy Porsche Certified warranty from Porsche if you buy from a private party or non-Porsche dealer? Is Fidelity the best aftermarket insurance/warranty policy? I read you can call around and buy from other dealers, even non- Porsche dealers. Do they inspect the car first? How much are these policies? Do they pay out and how much of a issue is it to get repairs at a Porsche dealer with a aftermarket warranty or insurance policy? Usually insurance is regulated by State so is coverage different for different states?

In response to your question. I purchased a Fidelity Platinum (exclusionary policy) with $100 deductible from a local Honda dealer.
(1) Call Fidelity Warranty Services and ask for 5+ local dealers that sell their products. Phone call to F&I manager might work but face to face is better. They all sell the same product and the coverage is based on the car.
(2) Mileage affects pricing. If under 10k miles, very cheap pricing. Goes up with mileage.
(3) I paid $2,300 with sales tax for an additional 7 years and 70K miles. Pricing was up to $4K for the same policy at different dealerships.
(4) Buy exclusionary policy, not powertrain. You want to know what is excluded as opposed to listing everything that is included.
I selected Fidelity because I liked what service advisors were telling me about their ease in dealing with claims.

Bought 05 997.1 in September ( not from dealer) with 39000 miles. After clean ppi at dealer they offered and i bought a Gold Care warranty covering 48 mo/50000 additional miles for slightly under 5 grand. It is supposed to provide the same coverage as the original factory warranty but with a $500 deductible. The wheels and tires are covered with no deductible.
