Default 997.2 lease deal

I have a friend who has a 2011 C4S that he is currently leasing via PFS. He has about 18 months left and asked me if I wanted to assume the lease. He pays about 1450 per month and the mileage left is plenty for me will end up with 30k at end of lease. It has has an MSRP 114k and has most the options I would want, A.S.S, Info pkg, SES, and SCPP.

Question that I have is, does that payment sound inline with a buyout of 65k and when it comes time if I wanted to buy it out and have a dealer CPO it, is that possible?

The buyout at65K is very reasonable for an '11 C4S. Your friend pry didnt put alot of $down, so pmt reflects this. also depends on region and residual value PFS put on the car at time of the lease. OTOH, Is it a car you would like to have now? you are helping your friend by taking on $1450 per month( plus ins, ) if you can live with the color and options as you assume the car 18 months early, with no additional charges from PFS, you can pry flip it for about the same if not slightly more than $65K and get some enjoyment to boot.

And yes, Post pics

He put about 7k down, gross cap was 107k. Looks like a 56% residual.

Color and options are fine for me. Honestly I look at it like a short term rental that I can write off and ditch after the 18 months. I would like to know if I kept it could I get it CPO'd if I was to keep it.

Yes you can get it CPO'd if you kkep it. I did the exact same thing on mine. Payment seems about right.

You can CPO the car as long as you do that before original manufacturer's warranty expires.
