'11 C2S or ’10 C4S. Which would you choose? Same price, all else basically equal.

One year newer, fewer miles. Go for the 2011, but sounds like a winner either way.

Good to see that another nation is divided as well.

Thanks for all your feedback. The split response is actually helpful. It tells me that I can’t make a poor decision.

I drove both cars today. I must say that the test drive didn't help my decision making. Both cars were pretty similar and awesome.

The 4S may have been more tame and the 2S may have been more like a go cart with a 385hp engine. Both were very fast. (I prefer more tame, but can't say I felt too much of a difference in handling. I tested them about 3 hours apart and not back to back.)

There was road noise from the 4S tires on the highway, but not the side roads. The 2S tires were quiet. Both engines and exhaust hummed (growled) perfectly. Is this road/ tire noise normal?

The 4S has the invisible adhesive/ "bra" on the front and also comes with and extra set of winter tires (not wheels) included with our agreed upon price. The 2S has neither.

The 2S has Turbo II wheels which I prefer; the 4S has CS II wheels.

The 4S was driven by an older gentleman who seemed to take pristine care of it. The 2S was driven by the sales manager. However, I think they may have also used it as a demo once in a while.

Tires can make a big difference vis a vis road noise.

Based on your test drive, it appears your decision is made then! The C4S is a the no-brainer for you:

1) better deal
2) invisible bra
3) pristine conditions
4) extra set of winter tires

Drawback:
1) tire road noise

But as rodsky pointed out, that "drawback" is all about the tire compound selection... Tire Rack reviews are pretty good when selecting new tires. I also appreciate the views on this board.

C4S it is! Enjoy....

C4S with all the extras. I would also consider resale value down the road, but may not matter if you plan on keeping it for the long haul

wouldn't buy a sales manager car :-) I am sure a lot of them push the car cold, so do they on test drives, I witnessed it myself and other ones did too

I prefer 2WD. That said, you seem to be okay with AWD driving characteristics and not wedded to a particular drive layout. Drive them again to make sure, as this is not a trivial decision.

The ownership item would sway me to the CS4 all else equal. Not sure about the value proposition, but this might be leaning towards the 4.

While wheels shouldn't be a determine factor, it's always a possibility one gets stuck on a certain favorite. This could be an added hassle switching out for some. I think CSII suit the .2 cars better but that's my view.

Based on what you've added the choice is clear. C4S.

Buy the owner not the car. My vote is now definitely for the C4S. Now if you don't keep your cars for a long time then it really does not matter. Beware that when tires are getting close to
needing replacement then the road noise is that much magnified. Tires are a big ticket item so keep that it mind when it comes to your overall purchase price.

Looks like a happy choice to make, and you may already have made it. I've owned both though, and for what it is worth, I'd say I liked the look of the wide body but preferred the C2S driving experience.
