Default Porsche (GT3) RS 4.0 - Fastest lap at Laguna Seca

Not sure if this was posted before, quite an impressive run at Laguna Seca... GT3 RS 4.0, possibly the best 911 EVER! I'd take that over GT2, GT2 RS, Turbo S, etc...

I've got a PDK and I'm not pissed. I couldn't drive a lap that fast with any kind of transmission!

Last time I checked, my PDK P Car has 2,3, and 4th gears as well. Though I don't have the 4.0 in the GT3 RS, I'm not entirely sure what your point is?

neither am I. Why would I watch a video of a gt3 rs and be pissed??? If I posted a video of a Ferrari Enzo and then said all the manual guys should be pissed - would that make any sense. Want a manual get a manual. Prefer pdk, get that.

Lets not beat a dead horse.

I think you do mean turn 6, which is the approach to Rahal straight. It is a total blast, you set your approach, go full bore into the apex and don't turn after it b/c the front end gets real light (there is banking into the turn but it disappears after it). L/S is an absolute blast to drive - every turn presents a different set of circumstances to navigate!

The guy in the GT3 RS 4.0 nailed those turns. If you notice he took #2 as a double apex, which is the hard and faster way way to do it. Makes my 1:46 look like I was standing still!

Ran 1:33's in my 1972 March in August. 1/3 the weight, 1/2 the horsepower. And, I was a mid packer in the group.

Very nice drive for a street car!

Who cares guys... just enjoy the Video, his time is faster than 458! PDK or non-PDK, driver is #1 ALWAYS!

Also, the GT3 RS 4.0 is the BEST 997 out of the factory, closest thing to a cup-car that's streetable! Also, to me, the best looking one!

Let me help you out. The Point is....some believe that the PDK (Automatic) is superior and manual shifts are obsolete. They believe the nano second shifting would somehow improve their track times. I can see this in an F1 Car when milliseconds count.

Personally, I think you drive an automatic to make it easier to talk and play with your iphone. Or....maybe it's your daily driver and you want a more pleasant driving experience during your commute. Perhaps, your wife cannot drive a manual. Blah Blah Blah Whatever the reason...it's bunk.

I'll give you a break if you're an amputee.

Note: Just my opinion. It means absolutely nothing'......so calm yourself down.

Look, I'm a manual guy too, but you're really beating a dead horse here and bordering on getting offensive. For people who like pdk, its their business, so ease up. Not sure how long you've been on the forums but this has all been hashed over more than any of us care to remember.

If the 4.0 was PDK it would have lapped a little faster. But it wouldn't be as special a car.
