Funny, I'm thinking about buying a Jeep Wrangler as my daily car. We rented one in Hawaii and I loved it. Bikini top and no doors in the summer just seems like the right way to live one's life.... other than on the twistys in a 911 that is :-)
From late Apr until early Oct I drive the Jeep with the doors off and bikini top. I throw a cover over it at night in case it rains. Totally different experience than the 997 but I love it (especially around town or short drives). I've been caught in the rain a few times. Just pull the drain plugs and let it dry. You will not regret buying one.
In all honesty the California was intended to be a Maserati, before they ran over budget and moved it upmarket. I would be surprised if you experienced anything more agile than a GT experience.
That explains it. I was definitely disappointed with the 0-60 / 0-100 performance. You really had to get on the car to get all the performance. very different than the 997 which is very easy to make go fast
I just wanted to politely say Jeep wranglers are for chix........a MAN's jeep is a CJ-7 or a CJ-5.......
okay, now let the fallout begin
HAHA ... OME lift, big tires, bumpers, lights ... definitely not a chick car. My kids love it. It's great on the beach .... although I have to admit, the wife likes it also
